aveda smooth infusion trio

As I sat down to write this post I had a nagging feeling that I'd never blogged about hair care. That's right, never. I couldn't think of a reason why but I guess it's proof at how lovely these products are as I'm breaking my hair silence.

This cute little family of Aveda haircare products came in March's She Said Beauty Box. A shampoo, conditioner and style-prep smoother. Known as the smooth infusion trio, this has worked wonders on smoothing and de-frizzing my locks. The shampoo wasn't anything special but the conditioner was really indulgent and moisturised my hair well, detangling it and keeping it soft and tame. A little of this conditioner goes a long way so granted it lasted longer than its shampoo companion.

As for the style-prep smoother; this stuff was pretty nifty. A creamy product to add to towel dried hair. I put a 1/2 penny sized amount on my finger tips and starting from the back of my head scrunched it in and smoothed it down through to the ends of my hair. It left my hair smooth, glossy, silky and banished the frizz and static I would normally experience.
Unfortunately, there was one downside to this product. The scent. Of course, this is a personal thing but I wasn't too keen on the "spicy lemon-herbal" fragrance. It just reminded me of these fig/date biscuits that we used to have but I never liked. I don't find the scent lingers long in my hair so it didn't bother me too much. I suppose, because the products actually work for me, I made an effort to ignore the scent and not bully this product for its smell. ;)

For more information on the ingredients and their uses, this short post on She Said Beauty is very useful and well written.
