Put your best face forward

Our faces are our own personal canvas. Whether we're keeping it simple or creating an intricate look, a well prepped and pampered base is key. Surprisingly, I find that ensuring quality products are being used on our base layers are what provide the greatest boost in confidence. There is no "right" way to go about it but allowing yourself just that one luxury product can make all the difference. Here, we shine the spotlight on a selection of products aiming to help you put your best face forward.

The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum is one that has been talked highly of and within the blogging community too. A serum inspired by ground breaking DNA research is surely one to help us wake up with moisturised skin and a youthful glow.
For those of you with normal to very dry skin, Kanebo's Cellular Performance Lotion II (Moist) replenishes the skin after cleansing whilst counteracting signs of aging and photo aging at the cellular level. The elegant sounding Koishimaru silk extract smoothes and hydrates the skin.
Always a strong believer that a good primer provides a smoother surface to apply foundation and helps it to last longer. The Estee Lauder Matte Perfecting Primer is an oil free shine reducing primer that provides a matte finish. Moving onto foundation, the Total Finish Foundation by Kanebo is a powder-based product that works well for normal to dry skin. It has SPF15 and is said to provide a feather-light finish. Perhaps a perfect Summer foundation?
Speaking of Summer, Laura Mercier have a range of cosmetics that will have you swapping out your Winter blushes and lipsticks. The Bronzing Powder comes in two tones to provide a subtle, sun-kissed look. The Bright Gel Lip Color Poppy has an innovative gel finish that will leave lips moisturised and with a beautiful shine. Last, but certainly not least, is Laura Mercier's Baked Eye Colors which can be applied both wet or dry. Lagoon and Violet Sky are vibrant, electric shades that are perfect for providing that extra pop of colour.
Have you got your eye on any of these beauties?
