Bags of Love are a company that specialise in personalised gifts where you can buy anything from custom tablecloths to digital keyrings. Being a beauty blogger, the thought of a customised makeup bag got me quite excited and there was no question as to whose lovely faces were going to be featured on the front. My beloved cats; Scout and Jem of course!
It's really easy to design your order on their website. You can choose between leather or vinyl and between four lovely colours. For £9 extra you can have two different photos on your bag, one on each side. You can even upload and preview what your photos will look like on the bag and choose between different photographic effects. I liked the look of sepia tone but you could also choose black and white; very classy.
The bag arrived within 3 days and the quality of the photos and the bag itself were really good especially with the wipe-able surface inside. It's definitely bigger than your average cosmetic bag but if, like me, you usually carry around a lot more than just a mirror and some lipstick to touch up then this is a perfect size. I can even fit my hand cream + hand sanitiser in there! It wasn't overly big and fit in my bag nicely with all my other bits and bobs. I especially love how well it keeps its shape regardless of how much contents it holds so I can slot it into my bag neatly.
Unfortunately (and this is a really big "unfortunately"), I had to throw this bag away! Through no fault of the bag's or my own, a house fire took its short lived life. In all honesty, I was more gutted about losing this bag than the make up on my dressing table or some of the clothes hanging about my bed.
Perhaps I fell in love with this bag because my favourite little trouble makers were printed on it but that's the beauty of personalised gifts. It's something special and unique and I hope that someday someone will order one of these again for me as a present. *hint hint family/friends that are reading this right now* ;)
