Even at the "old" age of 21, I still like to watch my mother apply her make up and go through her night time routine. Although I've always had an evening skincare routine, subconsciously, my mummy has encouraged me to have my own bedside routine. And so, I present to you, the bits and bobs that live next to my bed.
REN skincare frankincense revitalising night cream £32.00 (full size)
My second tube of one of these general sample sizes. Soon enough, it'll be time for that full sized purchase. This is my after shower facial moisturiser. A luxurious consistency with a rather calming scent. A full review can be seen here.
L'Occitane desert rose lip balm £8.50
I've spoken about this tube of goodness countless times. Slather it on and let it sink in as you fall asleep. Perfect for those really dry lip days or if you've been wearing many a drying lipstick. I also really like the rose scent.
Soap & Glory smooch operator £6.00
Firstly, this smells and tastes of coconut; amazing! I purchased this recently in a 3 for 2 offer at Boots and although you need to warm it up slightly to get the application going it's worth the effort. I've been wearing this all throughout the days and then at night, it's back at my bedside. Surprisingly very moisturising and conditioning without being shiny or greasy on the lips; perhaps it's the mango butter.
Soap & Glory you won't believe your eyes £10.50
Another new purchase. The No7 eye gel I was using previously didn't seem to be doing much for me so I thought I'd experiment with another. I like the easy squeeze and roll on method. Honestly, applying eye cream is one of those things I don't enjoy doing so the quicker the better. It's too early to observe any results but it feels cooling under the eyes and sinks in nicely without being sticky. It's a mix between a gel and a cream, I'd say. They say you can use concealer over it too but it's not something I've given a try.
Sanctuary hand cream* £3.25
For some reason, my hands are always crazily dry before I go to bed and this hand cream sorts that right out. Extra brownie points for the gorgeous, relaxing scent. I've taken quite a liking to Sanctuary products recently and will have to get the bigger size of this for my handbag.
Sanctuary therapist's secret facial oil* £17.35
A mixture of stress and meds had caused my skin to become extremely dry and patchy in areas. Two drops of this was enough for my entire face and using it every night for a week showed a huge improvement. It helps to replenish the skin's natural oil content with sunflower, jojoba and wheatgerm pure oils. I haven't been using this every single night but it's definitely one I'll turn to for the winter months.
I'll never need a bedside table with anymore products than this but I think I've got all the areas covered and any suggestions to switch things up with are always welcome. :)
What are your bedside beauties?
