7 Places To Buy Korean Beauty In The UK

7 places to buy korean beauty in the UK - BeautyMART

When I became obsessed with Korean skincare I knew I was going to need beauty sleuth mode switched on. Although, in 2016, K beauty brands have become more abundant on the UK market, we're still very much only scratching the surface. Without access to UK equivalents of Glow Recipe, Peach and Lily, Soko Glam and Sephora (as of yet), it took me awhile to make all of these discoveries. Having said that, I've definitely noticed an increase in online retailers offering an edit of cult favourites from South Korea. If you're intrigued by the Asian beauty world (or need a sheet mask restock), here are 7 places you can buy Korean beauty from in the UK.

The UK version of this website has an extensive range of Korean, Taiwanese and Japanese beauty brands. They are constantly adding to their "new in" section and I've purchased from them several times before. They've got the classics of Tony Moly, Etude House and Innisfree as well as Missha, COSRX and my favourite NEOGEN. You also get points for your purchases which unlock money off vouchers and discounts.

UK Shipping: Free over £25 for standard (5-14 days). I've chosen express before and it arrived within 4 days but I had to pay customs fees on it.

They have a physical store in London's China Town which is packed to the brim with products. However, there is also a colourful website where you can shop through their entire range. They have a huge selection and this is where I discovered the Jayjun Step Masks. They also sell snacks so if you like the green tea Kit Kat or other flavour variations, you can pick those up too.

UK Shipping: Free for standard second class with Royal Mail. You can pay £2.98 extra for tracked.

As Amazon's beauty offerings grow from high street favourites to luxury picks, some Korean beauty brands have opened up shop on the platform. From The Face Shop to Leaders, Neogen and Tony Moly, I'm sure the choice will continue to grow.

UK Shipping: Varies. Amazon Prime is available for some brands like Tony Moly

This beautiful website offers a variety of brands including Benton, Missha and Heimish and Make P:rem (a favourite of mine). They've got the Heimish cleansing balm which has become quite the popular cleanser. You can read my review on that here. You can also pick up modelling packs (aka rubber masks) from here.

UK Shipping: Free over £50, £2.95 otherwise. They also cleverly offer a sheet mask service only for £1.95 if you're only ordering 1-2 sheet masks that would fit in an envelope.

The years I spent working in the BM offices helped me hone in on my love of beauty trends, innovation and Korean skincare in particular. As a part of their tried and tested top of the line edit, BeautyMart offers a wide selection of sheet masks among other products from Tony Moly to Too Cool For School. They've also got you covered on the peel-off makeup trend and the sellout Korean Exfoliating Mitt. If you're in London, check out their K beauty selection in person at their concession in Topshop, Oxford Circus, especially for all the It's Skin and Touch in Sol products. Also, if lip masks or step masks make you curious, you must check them out.

This was a hard one to narrow down on. As with most sellers on eBay you have to be careful about authentic product and scammers. However, I've managed to find a few legitimate eBay shops who offer an incredible selection of brands. I've purchased from all of these before with no issue and many other bloggers have purchased happily from them too. These shops have allowed me to try brands like May Island and J One that I couldn't find anywhere else.

UK Shipping; All offer free economy shipping. I've never had to pay any extra charges to receive these packages and they all usually arrive within 2 weeks.

Known for their luxury skincare offerings, it's no surprise that they picked up on some of the more luxe Korean skincare brands including Blossom Jeju and Blithe. With Glow Recipe's founders being their ambassadors, you know the selection will be good. (I'm kind of hoping that they bring  J One over in the same way they added it as a Sephora offering). The best part is that whilst you're there you can pick up some of your usual beauty favourites.

UK Shipping: Free over £50, £3.95 otherwise.

This is a January 2018 edit. As ASOS have upped their game with an extensive beauty offering, Korean brands have slipped into the mix. Next time you're picking up your latest fashion find, it's worth having a browse of the adorable Oh K! range, Touch in Sol or It's Skin (the Power 10 skin boosters are my favourite).
