J.One Hana Cream Review | The Most Dreamy Skincare Step
The "capsule skincare" trend has become one of my favourites. Today, I'm reviewing the J.One Hana Cream. J.One is a Korean beauty brand created by the actress Ha Ji-won. It started with the brand's top selling Jelly Pack but the Hana Cream shines brighter for me. Each jar comes with pre-portioned spheres of a luxurious moisturiser. There is no extra packaging; you use the included spatula to hygienically scoop one out. Although it's marketed as an anti-wrinkle cream, I'd recommend it for dry, dehydrated and mature skin types.
The interesting notion on pre-portioned skincare is that each capsule contains the ideal amount to be effective. Each little sphere of J.One Hana Cream contains a plethora of beneficial ingredients. When it comes to replenishing and plumping look no further than the list below. Nourishing, skin restoring and proven to improve the elasticity of the skin.
Tremella (a fungus that can hold 500 times its weight in water - popular with the aqua filling trend )
Niacinamide (also known as vitamin B3, it's an antioxidant and encourages plumper, brighter skin)
Anemarrhena Asphodeloides Root Extract (a plant species used in medicine with anti-inflammatory properties)
Macadamia Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil and Shea Butter
I use one little ball every night after a spritz of rosewater toner. Surprisingly, it is always enough for my entire face and down the neck. It's a thick, luxurious and creamy formulation yet it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It smooths on effortlessly feeling like silk. The scent is simple. It's this comforting "moisturiser" scent; clean and subtle.
Immediately after use, my skin feels plumper and nourished. It's that juicy feeling that my dehydrated skin strives for. My skin also looks brighter and generally healthy. Over the months, I have noticed that its texture appears more refined. It feels smoother, looks less "grainy" and I'm not afraid to get the magnifying glass out.
Although consistent chemical exfoliation has been key, I do think the Hana Cream played a big part. It has given my skin this awakened look and feel. Better than any overnight mask I've tried. I've used this once in the morning and it felt amazing to apply makeup on top of. Despite the selection of nourishing ingredients, it's not greasy in the slightest.
I will definitely be repurchasing this. I'm relying on it to get my skin through the colder months. I would recommend this for anyone dealing with stressed or fatigued-looking skin also. You could use it as an overnight mask if daily use is too much.
The link I've provided is from the eBay seller I bought it from. It was a great service, free shipping and arrived within 2 weeks. In the US, you can also buy this from Glow Recipe or Sephora.
